NJ Transfer information

NJ Transfer is a tool that can be utilized to find course equivalencies across NJ community colleges to ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ. Potential ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ students can utilize NJ Transfer to see which courses they should be taking at their community college to prepare them for a smooth transition into their Bachelor degree program at ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ. Current ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ students can also utilize NJ Transfer to see course equivalencies if they are considering taking summer/winter courses at their local community college. Simply visit  to utilize their tools. 

 

How do I know which courses I should choose at my community college if I want to come to ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ after graduating from my community college?

  1. Go to NJTransfer.org.

     

  2. Click "Students" drop down.

     

  3. Click "Transfer Programs".

     

  4. Select your community college in the "Transfer from" drop down. 

     

  5. Click on your intended major at ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ. 

     

  6. A guideline of courses at your community college will appear that have been reccommended by ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ to transfer into the ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ program.

     

How do I figure out what the equivalency is for my ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ course at a community college for current ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ students? 

  1. Go to NJTransfer.org.

     

  2. Click "Students" drop down. 

     

  3. Click "Find course equivalencies". 

     

  4. Select your community college in the "Transfer from" drop down. 

     

  5. Select "³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ" in the "Transfer to" drop down.

     

  6. Click "List all equivalencies". 

     

  7. Click the boxes next to "Active courses" and "Courses evaluated for transfer only".

     

  8. Click "Search".

     

  9. Scroll to find the ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ course you need on the right hand side, and the community college equivalent will be listed to the left of it.  

     

  10. Fill out the "Permission to take courses at another institution form" and get it signed by your preceptor, program chair, and an academic advisor.  

     

  11. After taking the course, be sure to send your offical transcript to the Registrar.
