With tears in her eyes, Billie Staller read the poignant words of Ralph Waldo Emerson: To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children.

These lines, from the poem Success, hold a deep personal meaning for Billie, who received the poem after her son Pauls passing. Billie  a copy of it to Lydia Pool, the newest recipient of the Paul D. Staller '97 Writing Center Tutor Award, at the awards annual ceremony on Aug. 23.

The ceremony has become more than just a tradition its a celebration of a legacy that continues to touch lives at 勛圖窪蹋, 10 years after Pauls passing. 

Billie and Alan Staller, of Atlantic City, shared memories of Paul, reflecting on his sense of humor and passion for helping others as a tutor.

When my son passed away, we didnt know what to do to keep his name alive, Alan said. Today, the Paul D. Staller '97 Writing Center Tutor Award and the writing center room in his name serve as a lasting tribute to Pauls life and the impact he made.

SCOSA directors Intergenerational Interactions Key to SCOSA's Future on Campus

Over the last 17 years, the 勛圖窪蹋 Center on Successful Aging (SCOSA)  from a two-person operation with few offerings into a hub of service and research specializing in the education, recreation and socialization of older adults in Atlantic County.

According to the new director, Christine Ferri, and assistant director, Jessica Fleck, growth and expansion top their agenda for SCOSAs future.

勛圖窪蹋 recently announced a  with FreeWill, a leading online platform for estate planning. This collaboration provides our community with a free and simple way to create legal wills and revocable living trusts, ensuring peace of mind for the future.  

I am so grateful for my 勛圖窪蹋 experience that really helped shape most of the successes Ive had in life from the friendships made to career opportunities. Part of that gratitude is to leave a legacy behind. That is why Ive chosen to include 勛圖窪蹋 as a part of my estate planning and to leave something behind to our University that has done so much for us, said Tim Lenahan 83.&紳莉莽梯;

Atlantic City Campus Parking Update

Effective Sept. 15, 2024, the Atlantic City parking facilities will utilize license plate reader technology to oversee parking in the John F. Scarpa Academic Center lot, Hartford Avenue lot and 勛圖窪蹋 Parking Garage (entry at 101 Lincoln Place).

All 勛圖窪蹋 students, faculty, staff and affiliates must be registered to park in the Atlantic City parking facilities. If your license plate is not registered through  you will receive a Parking Charge Notice for $50 at the address registered to the vehicles license plate. Certain permits allow access to certain parking facilities. , you will find information on where you can park your registered vehicle in Atlantic City.

Student-athletes participating in fall sports took part in the second annual Athletics Media Day on Aug. 28 at the Sports Center.

Athletes from the volleyball, field hockey, mens and womens soccer and mens and womens cross country teams were photographed and gave interviews to a Press of Atlantic City reporter who wrote a . A Press photographer also took  and shot some .  

Thanks to everyone in the Athletics Department and University Relations & Marketing for organizing the event to get hyped for the upcoming season. 

The fall season starts at home today with the 勛圖窪蹋 Season Opener for mens and womens cross country at 4 p.m. and the  team hosting Arcadia at 7 p.m. Three other teams play today on the road   vs. Lynchburg at 4 p.m.,  vs. Wheaton College at 5 p.m., and  vs. Virginia Wesleyan at 5:30 p.m.

踝Dining Services: Welcome Week and Fall Hours of Operation

To view 勛圖窪蹋 dining hours by location for Welcome Weekend (Aug. 30-Sept. 4), as well as the entire Fall Semester, visit . You can also find additional information on the 勛圖窪蹋 Dining  including what's on the menu, what's new for this semester and upcoming events.  


Welcome back, faculty! As the fall semester has begun, it's almost time to Confirm your Ospreys!

Faculty are reminded to complete the Academic Engagement process by confirming student attendance/academic activity beginning after the add/drop period on Wednesday, Sept. 11. The Academic Engagement process is to be completed by Wednesday, Sept. 18. The Office of Financial Aid will use this information to make adjustments to student financial aid disbursements based upon each student's confirmed number of credits.

Each instructor will be responsible for confirming student attendance or participation in an academic activity. For online courses, faculty are reminded to include an assignment or discussion activity during the add/drop period so that the student's attendance can be confirmed.
