Students Donate Food Baskets to Sister Jean's Pantry

Galloway, N.J. 勛圖窪蹋 students presented 25 Thanksgiving baskets to Sister Jeans Pantry as part of the Holiday Harvest dinner Nov. 23 at the 勛圖窪蹋 Atlantic City Residential Complex coordinated by 勛圖窪蹋 Residential Life, Dean of Students Office, Student Affairs and the Residential Scholars Program.

We all know theres a great deal of food scarcity in Atlantic City, Scotland said. For 勛圖窪蹋 students to be aware of that and for them to work as hard as they have worked to make sure that people who dont have enough to eat have the resources, like these baskets, I think thats tremendous, not just for the relationship between 勛圖窪蹋 and Atlantic City, but for the lifelong learning that these students are getting from that kind of service project.
Marques Johnson, director of residential education and student services at 勛圖窪蹋, said the food baskets were just one of several projects students are helping to organize as part of 勛圖窪蹋s 50th anniversary celebration this year. A total of 50 baskets were collected and distributed.
The students really put their hearts into this project to help others, Johnson said. They are proud to represent 勛圖窪蹋 and be part of the Atlantic City community.
